Guildford Town Centre

A major renovation and 414,100 sq ft retail expansion was necessary to modernize this existing mall. A new entrance featuring an open-air lobby made up of two curving glass walls was key to this plan.
These walls were lined with cantilever glass fins supporting both the interior and exterior glazing. Glass fins were mounted to the horizontal primary support beam with the upper fins spanning between the beam and the roof above, and the lower fins cantilevering below.
Countersunk fittings provide a flush exterior to the double-glazed units. Standard spiders assemblies were used in conjunction with custom fittings to integrate the banks of entrance doors.
