An updated design for this highly visible LRT station.
Churchill LRT Station Revitalization
Part of Edmonton’s Capital and Metro LRT line, this dated station needed an update as is in a highly visible public location in Edmonton’s civic plaza, Churchill Square.
Stella’s doc & pin fittings transformed the exterior of this station.
“The canopy design inspiration is taken from the irregular angles of the nearby City Hall and new Art Gallery of Alberta. The galvanized steel structural columns tilt at random angles to each other to create a playful backdrop to the glass enclosure walls.”
Per the architect – Shelterbelt Architecture
