Like the custom Tension Assembly created for Sparkling Hill Resort, the design objective on the three-storey glass crystal atrium was to keep the support systems as transparent as possible.
We needed to create a support bracket that connected the glass at the perimeter of its core triangle shapes to the tubular steel support beams. We created the Tube Spider which had the following features:
- Easy adjustability for positioning
- Quicker install via clamping versus the more labour intensive drilling and tapping into steel
- Easily adaptable to a single or double connection option
